Pit Stop in Chisinau

I travel frequently for work, and this time, work took me to Chisinau, Moldova. Having had a delayed, rushed, 5 days mostly occupied indoors, I managed to find time early in the morning and in the evenings to explore (and clear my head).

The capital city of Chisinau has many fantastic food places, and to be fair, after work, eating was the second activity I spent all of my time doing.

Co-incidentally, I planned a perfect route for a quick walk one early morning at 6am which is almost exactly the same as this Google Travel route, but it missed a few.

Here are some quick stops:

  • The National Museum of History of Moldova
  • Triumphal Arc
  • Nativity Cathedral
  • Flower Market

Oddly enough, the food I ate in Chisinau was incredible. Moldovan food has it's own unique touches (polenta and sour cream were a big hit), but there are many modern restaurants that have cool yet cozy vibes and very creative dishes. Here are some of the restaurants I sampled, and those I was recommended but did not get a chance to try out in the short trip.
